How to Handle Security and Trust in OpenClaw
I know how it feels when you are ready to ship but have that nagging doubt about security. You want to make sure your project is safe, but finding the right security docs often feels like a chore. It is frustrating when you just want to know who to talk to or how the system handles threats.
I have gone through the OpenClaw security resources, and I want to show you exactly where to look so you can build with confidence.

Quick Start
Section titled “Quick Start”Getting up to speed on OpenClaw security takes less than five minutes. Follow these four steps to get oriented:
- Visit the Trust Center: Go to trust.openclaw.ai. This is the live source for all security instructions and the latest updates.
- Review the Threat Model: Read the Threat Model. It is based on the MITRE ATLAS framework and maps out the attack chains and mitigations for the ecosystem.
- Learn to Contribute: If you want to help improve our security posture, check out the Contributing to the Threat Model guide. It explains how to add new threats and mitigations.
- Connect with the Team: Reach out to Jamieson O’Reilly (@theonejvo) or join the Discord #security channel for direct communication.
Troubleshooting

You found a potential bug and don’t know where to report it. Go directly to trust.openclaw.ai. This page contains the full reporting instructions that cover every repository in the OpenClaw ecosystem.
You want to suggest a new mitigation for the threat model. Refer to the Contributing to the Threat Model document. This guide provides the specific steps needed to update the MITRE ATLAS-based model.
