Managing Webhooks and Gmail Integrations with OpenClaw
I have spent too much time in the past writing custom scripts just to poll for new data. It is a tiring process that usually leads to slow response times and unnecessary resource use. I prefer systems that push data to me the moment something happens.
The openclaw webhooks command helps you handle these integrations without the usual headache of manual configuration.
What You’ll Need
Section titled “What You’ll Need”- OpenClaw CLI installed
- A Gmail account (for Gmail Pub/Sub features)
Quick Start
Section titled “Quick Start”You can get a Gmail integration running in about two minutes. I recommend following these two steps to start receiving notifications.

Configure your account Run the setup command with your email address to link your account.
Terminal window openclaw webhooks gmail setup --account you@example.com -
Start the listener Once configured, start the execution process to begin handling incoming events.
Terminal window openclaw webhooks gmail run
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If you encounter issues during the setup or while running the service, check the specific integration guides. The source documentation points to these areas for detailed error handling:
- Verify your account permissions if the setup command fails.
- Check the Gmail Pub/Sub documentation for specific connection errors.
If you need immediate help with a specific error message, use the AI Setup Assistant.
